Hi Paul!

Natasha here. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you! We have had a wonderful time here, an experience of a lifetime! I think I can speak on behalf of everyone and say that we have loved every minute of it!

Even when our flight was cancelled, the ground staff were exceptional and the support from yourself and your offices overseas to resolve the situation was brilliant! …

….Once again a massive thank you for making our holiday incredible! Don't think we would have fitted in half of what we have without your help!

Much obliged”

Natasha McKay and family

“Hi Paul,

Sincere thanks for the exceptional care and attention given to planning our family holiday. I can say, without reservation on behalf of myself, my husband and our three daughters the holiday was one of a lifetime. The transport and connections were faultless, the hotels you chose were all superb, the finest we have ever experienced, the trips arranged offered terrific interest and variety and the additional information you provided enabled us to optimise our sightseeing and enjoyment of each place we visited. Wonderful, thank you so much!"

Dear Paul

I write to thank you and express a little kudos for the recent Western Ghats Herpetological Expedition.

As a researcher in herpetology my own expeditions are mostly applied field visits to harsh environments globally. I work for a range of universities, consultancies, government bodies and conservation authorities. As such, I understand the difficulty and patience required when organising expeditions to less developed nations.

I originally attended the expedition as a busman’s holiday to see habitats and species that I previously only admired on television. What I got from the trip was so much more. It was a pleasant and relaxing expedition that exceeded my expectations.

I thank you for your endurance and hard work during the trip. I was surprised by the good choice of attendees. It is always difficult to find a group of people with common interests who can operate in the field safely and enjoyably. I was also impressed with your contacts within the unique world of Indian herpetology. These contacts enabled the group an insight into habitats that would not have been permitted without good relationships with statutory authorities, landowners and conservation organisations.

As a result of the trip I have had communication from some of the statutory bodies and conservation organisations we were introduced to. This has lead to design and supervision of a range of herpetological projects that aim to benefit key knowledge to certain Indian species and assist in securing future long term legal protection for them.

In today’s conservation arena it is rare for successes to follow so rapidly from brief meetings in poorer nations that are often bogged down with bureaucracy and issues of greater humanitarian importance. I believe that if it were not for your intricate knowledge, open mindedness, keenness and introductions to key people during our time in India that my current participation may not have developed.

You should be applauded for providing a satisfying, sustainable and professional ecotourism experience and be proud to have directly influenced greater conservation movements. I would highly recommend your expeditions to fellow herpetologists and look forward to participating in future trips.

Yours sincerely

Todd Lewis B.Sc. AIBiol. (Senior Ecological Consultant)”

“The best ever trip of my life! Paul made the arrangements very simple and easy, in fact i actually didnt have to do anything. When I got over to India all the people were very friendly and the food was brilliant. Gerry went out of his way to make sure we had the best trip possible trip and we saw an unbelievable amount of animals. I would highly recommend Paul and Gerrys trips to any wildlife enthusiast” Fionn Huggard (UK)

"Thailand was my second trip with Paul & Gerry, all I can say was I didn't think a Holiday could get any better, Paul seriously knows how to plan a brilliant trip! The guys that come on the holiday with us are always a brilliant bunch!!! Cheers mate for some really awesome times!!! Without Paul’s brilliant planning I would probably never of had the opportunity to see some of the wildlife and scenery at its best! And the fact that Gerry Martin was with us just tops it right off! Looking forward to some more traveling in the future with you! Cheers”. Robin van Ameijde” (Scotland)

"A Herpetological Expedition to Thailand" was an incredible experience. Paul had chosen some fantastic destinations to visit including a venom research centre, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed on the mainland and also travelled to small Islands. We had an adventure on a floating village and found and photographed many reptiles along the way. We were joined by expert herpetologist Gerry Martin, who helped and guided us in the field. He has excellent knowledge of Asian reptiles so we were in safe hands. I was very satisfied with the accommodation and stopped in various eco-lodges and hotels. Nothing was too much for Paul and I felt he was a great leader with a lot of time and patience for not just me, but the whole group. I will definitely be going on another in 2011!! Thanks for the experience”

Adam Radovanovic, Birmingham Nature Centre, UK

“I hope you enjoyed David as much as he loved this life changing trip.  It was so overwhelmingly awesome for him – being with people like himself who love what he loves, and can teach him even more.  It was worth every penny and so much more.  We are so happy that we could give David an experience and an adventure that he will never forget! Thanks for all your help.  I haven’t even gotten to hear all about it yet, and feel his overwhelming joy from the trip.  Thanks Again!

I will sort my photo’s out very soon and probably send them to you in the post.

“I would like to express to you my sincerest of than you’s. The India & Andaman trip was, without a shadow of a doubt the most amazing experience of my life. I cant imagine that a trip such as this was an easy thing to organise. You, however certainly made it look so. Everything ran as smoothly as possible with no complications at all.

To be in the company of some of India’s top herpetologists and trackers was an utter privilege and an education. Just the chance to spend time with these people was enough to ensure the trip would sell out quickly. That, along with the amazing success we had regarding the mission of the trip, which was to spot and photograph the herpetofauna of India & the Andamans and the friendly like – minded group of people I met at the airport for the first time, made the Andaman Adventure such an unforgettable and fantastic experience.

I don’t know how you’ll top this next year Paul but I’ll definitely be there with you on the next one to find out. Looking forward to hearing of the plans for next year. Thanks again, from an extremely satisfied customer.” Chris Young UK

"Congratulations on a thoroughly successful trip that exceeded all of my expectations" Rowland Griffin, Griffin Ecological, UK Herpetologist

"Gerry Martin and his team, Gregory Barreto, Kaushik Bajibab and Suresh of the Irula tribe were fantastic company and excellent expedition leaders. I made strong friendships with all of them and their hospitality even extended to Greg taking us to his cousins home. The rainforest research station at Agumbe was fascinating and to be able to hang out with the students such as Gowri Shankar who was conducting ground breaking research on the king cobra by radio tracking was a highlight and one I will never forget"

Nigel Hand, UK Herpetologist & author of "Amphibians & Reptiles of Herefordshire", www.centralecology.co.uk

"We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Western Ghats, Paul, Gerry and the team made the experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. The wildlife encountered was breathtaking in abundance and diversity, and the teams knowledge regarding them was in depth and comprehensive. There was plenty to see and do for both the hardcore herpetophile and the general visitor, with there being numerous and excellent opportunities for photographers....we would both highly recommend this trip, and company, and we intend to use them again in the near future"

David Willis (British Herpetological Society) & Jaqcui Turner UK
